PTA is Introduces the new Boosterathon Fun Run Fundraiser!

Fundraiser to Start in September

Hi Parents! We’re excited to host a 9-day Boosterthon Fun Run. The Boosterthon Fun Run program is a healthy alternative to traditional product sales fundraisers.  Students will participate in a Fun Run at the school onSeptember 18. StartingSeptember 9, students will collect pledges for the number of laps they will run in the Fun Run.

The Boosterthon program promotes three specific values during the fun-filled experience:  Fitness, Leadership, and Character.  Plus, students will be learning five ways to make their community rock with Boosterthon’s character theme Rock’n Town Live, a music festival theme all about community.

The event kicks off with a Pep Rally where the Boosterhon Fun Run team explains the Fun Run, how to collect pledges, and introduces the character lessons. Each day leading up to the Run the students will come together as class teams. They will pick a team name and create a banner. These events are designed so that schools can continue about their learning schedule as normal.

On the day of the event, a course will be set up at the school. Parents are encouraged to come out and cheer the students on. The run will take approximately 30 minutes, and students will run to upbeat, themed music. Most students run between 30 and 35 laps (the run is capped at 35 laps).

More information will be sent home soon in the red folders. Please help our school by connecting your student with sponsors. Thank you for your support!  For more information please visit

PTA Hosts Kindergarten Playdate

Starting Kindergarten is such an amazing journey for both students and parents. There are so many emotions: excitement, anticipation, nervousness, fear, joy, and a little sadness. To help with the transition for both the parents and the new students, the PTA hosted a Kindergarten Playdate in mid-August. Parents and students were invited to the small playground at the school so they could get to know each other.  There was a great turn-out for the event. The kids had a lot of fun meeting and playing with new friends, and parents connected with each other and talked about the year ahead. It was a fantastic way to kick-off the school year for our incoming kindergarten families!

Hospitality Committee Welcomes Teachers and Staff with Trail Mix Bar!

The Hospitality Committee welcomed our teachers and staff back with a make-your-own trail mix bar. Teachers and staff could make their own trail mix using different nuts, dried fruit, and grains. The food, which was kindly donated by our parent volunteers, was set up on the morning of the Meet and Greet the week before school started. it was a great way to welcome our teachers and staff back to school and get them energized for the day of meeting all their new students!

The PTA thanks all the parents and volunteers who helped welcome our teachers and staff back with some yummy trail mix! Read more about it on our Facebook page here.
